Happy Saturday!

I'm going to be doing a little maintenance today. It will likely cause a tiny interruption of service (specifically for www.dreamwidth.org) on the order of 2-3 minutes while some settings propagate. If you're on a journal page, that should still work throughout!

If it doesn't work, the rollback plan is pretty quick, I'm just toggling a setting on how traffic gets to the site. I'll update this post if something goes wrong, but don't anticipate any interruption to be longer than 10 minutes even in a rollback situation.

Good news! We have sent out all of the high-bidder notification emails! If you believe you were the high bidder in an auction, and you have NOT received an email from us, check your spam folder!

Still no dice? Please shoot us a message at our gmail address (fandomtrumpshate).

As a reminder, the donation deadline for high bidders is March 18th.

Whoops, I keep forgetting to post the third check-in!

In 6 more days, I'll create and post the link for the AO3 collection. Anything you post there will remain hidden until April 1st, when the collection closes and is revealed!

So, that's 23 days left to get those podfics done! How is everyone faring? The fanfic I WANTED to post entered a hiatus, so that bit of work is being put aside, for me. However, last week I was able to record all of a fanfic I REALLY love, so now all I have to do is edit!

I hope everyone is feeling confident! It's been good to see so many people sign up, and I am very excited to see how things go on reveal day!

Happy recording! Or, at this point, hopefully happy editing!

-Kit

It will take a while to actually close all auction forms - bids that are registered after 8:00:05 EST WILL NOT BE COUNTED.

Bidders:

We will email you in the next day or two with a list of all of your winning bids and a link to submit your donation proof. Please do not make any donations until we have validated your bids and sent you this list.

Creators:

Please do not contact your bidders until you have heard from us! Once your high bidder has donated and we have processed the donation, we will email you to confirm and put you in touch with your bidder. Remember that bidders have until the 18th to make their donations, so this may take a while. We will also be contacting you soon about the possibility of making an offer to your second bidder - please do not contact anyone about this until you hear from us, either.

Everyone:

Although the main auction is closed, plenty of Craft Bazaar stalls are still taking bids/donations! Remember that donation proof for crafts goes directly to the crafter, it cannot be submitted along with your regular auction donations.

The theme challenge for this month is Fortune (Please include the tag challenge: fortune when you post.) Theme challenges have to do with fic choice. Since this month's challenge is 'fortune' your story has to be related to that theme one way or another.

The shape challenge is 'Horseshoe' (tag challenge: horseshoe). This should be at minimum 7 squares, ie:

OOOOO
OXXXO
OXOXO
OXOXO
OOOOO

Shape challenges require that you complete a specific shape of squares on your card. If you complete a shape challenge by the deadline, you’ll win a cheat. If your card already has the shape formation before the challenge starts, you can only count that challenge as completed if you fill at least one square on your card within the challenge time period.

You can pick the challenge you prefer or do both if you're feeling ambitious. Once you’ve posted the podfic required to fulfill the monthly challenge, please comment here to let us know you’ve completed the challenge.

If you complete a challenge, you earn a cheat. If none of the challenges appeal to you, you can also earn cheats by commenting on other people's podfics.

What are Cheats?
Cheats are rewards that allow participants to manipulate their cards so that they can be finished more easily. There are 2 kinds of cheats: shifting squares and swapping out squares. Shifting squares allows participants to swap locations of two squares on their card. Swapping out cheats allow you to discard one of your prompts entirely from your card and replace it with a prompt of your choosing from the Prompt List.
